Driving Safety and Back Pain

Woman With Back PainIf you’ve ever been on road trip in a cramped car, chances are you might have experienced those stains and pains that come along with sitting in a car for extended periods of time. But how does the pain come about? Experts say it’s most likely because your seat is in the wrong position and you are not sitting properly.
For example, in cars with lower rooflines and reduced internal space which, depending on how your seat is positioned, can strain your legs and cause lower back pain. But if you’re not an experienced chiropractor, determining the exact cause and remedies for your pain can be difficult.

On this episode of Vehicle Vibes Radio, host Marcia Hansen will be speaking to Dr. Sylvia Kim at ChiroOne Wellness Center—a chiropractic care center serving the Midwest since 1992. Dr. Kim will be talking about why driving can cause back pain and simple steps you can take to relieve the pain. She’ll also be discussing the best driving positions to minimize pain.

Dr. Kim is the Clinical Director of the ChiroOne Wellness Centers in Wheeling, IL. She is also an active member of the American Chiropactic Association.
