In celebration of women in the auto industry, Vehicle Vibes Radio host Marcia Hansen will be talking to Amy Mattinat of Auto Craftsmen, a car shop from the beautiful hills of Vermont. Although Amy is not a mechanic, her passion for cars and helping customers has made her an integral part of the business.
Amy started out at Auto Craftsmen as a bookkeeper and quickly moved up to positions of service advisor, salesperson, office manager and eventually business partner. Amy will be talking to Marcia about her success story and what it’s like working in a male-dominated industry. Amy will also share car maintenance tips and other important information about caring for your car.
In the second half of the program, Marcia will be speaking to Janet Guthrie, the first woman ever to compete in the Indianapolis 500 and the Daytona 500. Janet will be talking to Marcia about her experiences as a female race car driver and how she went from a former flight instructor and aerospace engineer to becoming a widely recognized, record breaking racer.
